NYC Soccer: Sights & Sounds of Steve Nash’s Showdown

By | June 27, 2011

On June 22nd Steve Nash convened some friends for his annual “Showdown in Chinatown” soccer game, in Manhattan.

Apart from raising money for the Steve Nash Foundation, the open-to-the-public event also gave fans an opportunity to assess the football skills of some of the NBA’s biggest stars, as well former and current soccer professionals.

The event also enabled me to talk to Giuseppe Rossi about his potential move to Barcelona, to Demba Ba about his recent move from West Ham to Newcastle, to Youri Djorkaeff about his involvement with US soccer, and with Leandro Barbosa about his love for soccer.
