Bio PicEric Krakauer (Founder/Publisher/Podcast Host)

Eric learned the game in Portugal, where he was born and raised, and played the game at the academy level.

After a brief stint in England (where he played non-league soccer), Eric moved to New York where he was coached, and tortured, by former Metrostar, Billy Walsh, at Manhattan College. Since graduating in 2004, Eric has been playing for the Manhattan Kickers of New York’s Cosmopolitan League.IMG_3303

Eric covers the New York Red Bulls and New York City FC in the MLS, and is a leading authority on Portuguese soccer in the United States.

He has appeared on Sirius XM and ESPN radio to talk all things Portuguese soccer.

Jason began writing match reports for his own questionable amusement in between street-football sessions, while growing up on the quaint British island of Jersey. And he has not stopped since.

He studied media and culture in London,  journalism in California, and contributed to the music magazine, Revolver.

He is now settled in New York City, with his lovely wife and vicious cat, where he is the International Business Times’ chief soccer writer.

Paul Farrell (Podcast Co-host/Contributor)

He’s a podcaster, writer and general cynical a**ehole.

Paul was born somewhere on the south side of Dublin, but is a northsider at heart, who has been obsessed with soccer since Alan McLoughlin thumped home the equalizer in Windsor Park against Northern Ireland in November 1993.

Paul is wrapped up in love affairs with Shelbourne FC, Oscar Wilde’s criminal history, Francesco Totti and 1990s nostalgia.

He now lives in Brooklyn, works for Heavy.com, constantly wears a beanie and struggles to pay his rent.

Paul will always disagree with Eric Krakauer on the Bigsoccerhead Podcast, even if he’s wrong.

Sean Sedacca

Born and raised in New York, Sean was fortunate to spend almost a decade of his adult life in Italy. Having grown up a fan of the New York Arrows, it was only natural that he became enamored with the first (in every sense of the word) team of the capital city, SS Lazio.

Sean began writing using other people’s words, that is to say, as a translator, before eventually penning original content for blogs and websites. He now specializes in Serie A, and all the machinations that make it the most fascinating league in the world.

He is a lifelong member of NY Hota Bavarian Soccer Club, and also a big fan of MotoGP.

Scott Nicholls

Scott is an English freelance journalist based in Massachusetts, USA covering the Premier League, Major League Soccer, and international soccer from around the globe.

Scott began writing about soccer during the 2012 European Championships and hasn’t looked back since. A brief stint at SoccerNewsday ultimately led to appearances on SiriusXM’s Counter Attack Radio (pre SiriusXMFC), and BBC Television News in London – somehow, earning him the moniker, “Scotty Football.”

He’s still not sure if that’s a good thing or not.

Scott currently contributes to KICK, Prost-Amerika, and Fox Sports’ “The Sports Post,” and “Yardbarker” networks.
